May Day is
the day of the international protest of working class
against the system and power of capitalism. It is a day
for solidarity and unifying the international struggle
of workers and restoring the revolutionary belief of
this class for abolishing oppression and ensuring a
better world. It is a day in which the working class
advocates another vision and perspective that the human
society lives in freedom, equality and social justice.
Capitalist
system, which is built on profit and robbing the
products of workers
contradicts with the desires and hopes of human
beings. In this system the labour force is the force of
social wealth whereas the working class is denied decent
living rights and faced with enormous ills. Because of
this system, the world is overwhelmed by wars, terror
and genocide; homelessness, illness, hunger, poverty,
unemployment, ethno religious killings and sex apartheid
are ubiquitous. Besides, a small number of capitalists
and the ruling strata are living a very luxurious life
and have all the economical and social prospects to
sustain their system and play with the destiny of
humanity.
The states
and governments who run this system and call that they
have come to power through people’s votes, carry out the
most backward and inhuman agenda exactly at their first
mandates against the people who have voted for them. The
economical crisis, in which millions of pounds and
dollars were collected to rescue the banks, was as a
wide economic and political attack against the lives of
workers and toilers. This is an example of lies and
tricks of governments and rulers of capitalist society.
May Day is a message to stand against this system and
intensify the revolutionary struggle of workers to free
society from this system and its power.
In Kurdistan
(Iraq), under the power of the Kurdish bourgeoisie and
its different tendencies and parties, the workers have
experienced 18 years of homelessness, civil war, and
instability. A small number of chiefs who control the
society have accumulated the most part of the wealth of
the society. On the contrary, it is the workers that are
faced with lack of any labour law, low wage, long work
hours, child work, night and extra work, lack of
unemployment benefit and other social benefits and many
other hardships. Furthermore, freedom of strike and
worker organisation is prohibited and any workers
movement is facing armed militias and shooting.
In such a
situation the worker movement and its leadership must
opt to overcome the destiny of society and put an end to
the reactionary and militia power of the Kurdish
bourgeoisie and its ills. The May Day calls upon the
working class to unite and organize themselves in their
strong movement to impose the economical and social
demands and also bring revolutionary and profound
changes in favour of the majority of people in
Kurdistan.
Long live May
Day, the international day of the working class!
Long live
freedom, equality and worker state!
