About the execution of political prisoners

We, from the Worker Communist Party of Kurdistan Australian Organisation and The Worker Communist Party of Iraq Australian Organisation, strongly condemn the execution of the political prisoner, Ehsan Fatahian, by your authority in the city of Senandej and the threat of execution of Sherko Maarefy, Farzad Kamanger and other political prisoners in Sanadej prison.

We understand that your government is established on the skulls of thousands of your political opponents and the left activists who fought against the Shah regime. We are absolutely sure that the existence of your regime has been strongly relying on suppressing and mass killings of people in Iran during the past 30 years of power controlling. We would like to strongly urge your government to stop the brutality and killing of people based on their political beliefs.  We should remind you that every government, however strong or powerful they may be, cannot stand forever against the people’s demands and hopes for a better life and freedom.  Even the regime of Shah with all the power it had, could not resist the people’s demands and revolution.

We insist that your government release Sherko Maarefy, Farzad Kamnager and all political prisoners in Kurdistan and Iran.
